Leading healthcare company McKesson UK approached Cloud Design Box as they required a branded digital solution that would boost efficiency and collaboration capabilities across their UK offices.
Recently rebranding from Celesio, they needed a new intranet for their UK headquarters that fitted perfectly with their new brand identity.
Cloud Design Box, who specialises in crafting SharePoint platforms for both the business and education sector, worked closely with employees in the UK headquarters. The aim was to create a corporate branded environment that promotes collaboration.
“We already had a basic SharePoint system, but we wanted something that truly looked and felt part of our brand,” explains Joe Scholes, Engagement Business Partner.
“A clear brand identity is important, as our values need to translate across the whole business. Since the new system was rolled out, we’ve seen higher staff engagement on the site, which I think it largely down to it looking a lot more attractive.”
Listening to a range of employees from different teams, the talented team at Cloud Design Box got to grips with how they could refine their existing system’s navigation to better assist them in their work day.
Cloud Design Box created customisable team site templates that can be adapted to suit specific job roles and departments.
“Now, each team has a site with all the necessary links and apps readily available to them,” Joe enthuses.
“It’s great because it means that we no longer need to click through several pages to discover the information we need - it’s all there at our fingertips.”
The McKesson intranet also has a Meet the Team function, which enables employees to quickly find the right person to contact, something that can be crucial for efficiency within larger corporations.
“This feature makes it a lot easier for our staff to find the correct contact details for each other, reducing time wasted emailing the wrong people or trying to find the appropriate staff member to answer a query.”
In fact, many businesses are hoping to limit the reliance on email communication, switching to platforms like SharePoint where documents and apps can be accessed with ease.
“Our next step is to move to Office 365 to further enhance our workflows and collaboration capabilities,” Joe adds.
“What Tony and the rest of the Cloud Design Box team has done is incredible. We gave them a very vague brief and they have turned it into something that we absolutely love.”
